Spring 2014 {Fashion Watch}

So college has been keeping me a bit busy lately. But, I'm glad I've found a bit of time to get a post up for the spring fashion colors and trends. It's so nice to see some bright colors after a long winter of darker colors. Take a look at a few designers that I think capture this season in its prime.

Chanel 

The Chanel spring 2014 line is as colorful as can be. Although their classy pale pinks and whites are seen as well. The dress above gives an array of many of this seasons colors. 

Dolce & Gabbana

 Can we just take a minute and bask in the beauty of this Dolce and Gabbana dress? The pale pinks and delicate cherry blossom design are beautiful! The material is also sheer and light, typical for a spring dress. However, the length and fit are new for this season. I'm already getting a "delicate vibe". 

Marchesa

I'm loving the sheer material in this Marchesa dress. The mint green is also an important color for this spring!

 Michael Kors

This season, Michael Kors didn't use as many bright colors as his fellow designers. But the natural blues and browns add such class! 

Oscar de la Renta

There are no words to describe the beauty in this dress. The colors (including my favorite spring 2014 color: mint) all look wonderful together in the dress and pull it all together. I also love the more open T- styled cut for this dress! It works beautifully with the pattern.

 Ralph Lauren

Classy as ever. Ralph Lauren pulls off a black and white classy spring look! 

Roberto Cavalli

A bit different from the rest I have added, however, this work caught my attention. I'm loving the whites and the hinted neon. Also the dramatic lace in this collection. 

Tommy Hilfiger

Last but not least, Tommy Hilfiger. This outfit is bold and loud. Royal blues and greens and even a hint of yellow. And check out that look on the model's face. She knows she's walking in this spring's next trend. 

Knee Socks {Fashion Obsession}

Lately I've been seeing a lot of knee socks. I didn't like them at first...but now I think they're adorable! Just be sure that you wear them with the right outfit!  They look great with boots. 

Vintage {Fall 2012 Style Watch}

There's a new trend that's been occurring over the past several years. Vintage. I can remember the pearl fad of 2006 that got me searching for that certain look. Ever since then, I have been in love with vintage fashion. The styles of today can, sometimes, be so confusing and dramatic. But the vintage style is so simple, but so adorable! I'll be bringing back the vintage fad this fall with my pearls and winged eyeliner. How will you be bringing back the vintage?

Pearls {Fashion Obsession}

I've always loved wearing pearls. It doesn't matter if they're real or not, bring your pearls out this season for a must have look!

Fall 2012 Trend: Scarves

Scarves are always a way to add a little more to your outfit. This fall, a scarf is going to be one of my main pieces for outfits. Check out a few of these scarfed outfits for inspiration for your fall fashion planning!

I love this outfit. So simple, but so cute! 

Add scarves to your outfits for the end of summer and fall for a great look! I like to go simple and wear jeans and a solid long sleeved T-shirt and put a scarf on with it. Or, add a scarf to pull all the colors of your outfit together. Have fun scarving! :)

Braided Ballerina Bun

Here's a cute tutorial on how to do a braided ballerina bun.

Step 1: Brush hair.

Step 2: Put your hair into a high ponytail.

Step 3: Take a small section of hair from the ponytail to use for the braid.

Step 4: With the remaining hair, make a bun and secure it with a few bobby pins. 

Step 5: Braid the small section of hair that you separated earlier and wrap it around the bottom of the bun. 

Step 6: Secure the braid in the back of the bun with a bobby pin. 

Step 7: Give your bun a light spritz of your favorite hairspray.

I found Taylor Swift wearing a very beautiful blue dress, and decided to make this outfit! 

Bright colors are really popular this summer. you should have at least one bright colored dress or top in your wardrobe! Taylor pulls off this bright dress with her black sunglasses and small purse. The color suits her and her hair color very well. Be sure to find bright color that suits your skin tone and hair color well!

DIY

I've been obsessed with DIY lately. Just take a look at my DIY interest board! :) Check out this DIY dress with pockets. This is a great project for the summertime!

Here's what you'll need:

• a tank top
• 2 yards or so of patterned fabric
• scraps of a coordinating fabric for pockets
• matching thread
• disappearing fabric pen or chalk

It's here. The hottest season of the year! Summer. Shorts, sandals, t-shirts, bracelets, sunshine and COLOR! This seasons hottest trend is color! Here are a few ways to try it!
